Earlier this month I raised a cheer for President Obama’s rhetoric on school reform. He’s back at it again, saying, “if some teachers aren’t doing a good job, they’ve got to go.”

Good for the president for using his bully pulpit to speak some much-needed truth on matters related to schooling.

In the same interview, he agreed that schools in Washington DC are in poor shape. Too bad, then, he has done nothing to keep the DC scholarship program open to new students. It’s on a path to being phased out.
